The honest reason
Why isn't it just free?
Because a lot of people feel uncomfortable getting a free photo shoot. It feels like a favor, and then you're stuck wondering what you owe.
So it's pay what you want instead. You pick a number, even if it's a dollar, and that's it. Nobody's checking what anyone paid, and nobody owes anybody anything. Everyone gets the same session and the same photos.
If paying something makes it easier to say yes, that's why it's set up this way. This is for everyone.

25 minutes at a spot in Yucaipa. I'll send you the exact location.

Is $1 really okay?
Yes. There's no minimum. If a dollar is what works for you, a dollar is what you pay.
Do I get less if I pay less?
No. Everyone gets the same 25-minute session and the same 5 to 10 edited photos, whatever they pay.
Do I pay anything to get on the list?
No. The list is just so you hear about the dates first. You pay what you want once you have your photos.
How many spots are there?
Five, total. The list hears about the dates first, so that's the best way to get one.
Who's it for?
Everyone. Parents and kids, grandparents, couples, whoever you call family.

What should we wear?
Whatever you're comfortable in. Colors that go together usually photograph better than matching outfits, and solid colors keep the attention on faces instead of logos.
